Regular Shipping 

An e-mail confirmation will be sent to you after your order has been placed. Pending availability and credit verification, you will receive a subsequent e-mail with shipping details. We are a made-to-order business so please allow 1 - 3 weeks for your item to be made and then an additional amount of time for your items to ship. 

LOCAL WOMAN is not responsible for any delays in shipping including local delivery errors or international customs issues. Parcels cannot be rerouted once shipped. LOCAL WOMAN is not responsible for parcels lost or damaged due to shipping.

Canada

SHIPPING WITHIN CANADA

We offer free shipping on all orders within Canada over $250.  All shipping services, including on orders under $250, have $100 CAD insurance coverage and a tracking number. We use shipping through Canada Post and Chitchats which generally take between 2-8 business days but could be slightly longer for more rural areas or due to covid delays. Please note that we are a made-to-order business and that your items will ship 1 - 3 weeks from payment verification, the exact production timeframe varies per piece and is listed in the product descriptions. All orders are shipped from Toronto, Canada.

USA

We offer free express shipping on all orders to the USA over $500 CAD.  All shipping services, including on orders under $500 CAD, cover $100 CAD insurance and a tracking number. All orders are shipped from Toronto, Canada. Shipping generally takes 4-10 business days for delivery, however we are still experiencing covid delays. Please allow for up to an additional week of shipping time. Please note that we are a made-to-order business and that your items will ship up to 1 - 3 weeks from payment verification, the exact production timeframe varies per piece and is listed in the product descriptions.

Local Woman is not responsible for any import duties, customs and taxes incurred on USA & international shipments, as these are the responsibility of the purchaser. These charges will vary according to country.

International

We offer free shipping on all international orders over $600 CAD. Shipping services, including on orders under $600 CAD, have $100 CAD of insurance coverage, and a tracking number. All orders are shipped from Toronto, Canada. Shipping times vary depending on location, please see below for more detailed time estimates.  Unfortunately we're still experiencing some covid delays, please allow for delays of up to two additional weeks of shipping time. Please also note that we are a made-to-order business and that your items will ship up to 1 - 3 weeks from payment verification,  the exact production timeframe varies per piece and is listed in the product descriptions.

At this time, we are unfortunately unable to offer insured shipping to China and South Korea.

LOST & DAMAGED ORDERS

By placing an order with Local Woman, you understand that we are not responsible for delays or loss of items by our shipping providers. Local Woman is not held liable for items once they are shipped to your requested address.

We understand that accidents happen. If your order arrives damaged, please email us at info@thelocalwoman.com with your order number, a description of the defect, and a photo.

 

Return Policy

Local Woman products are made to order, with care by artisans in Toronto, Canada. We do not offer returns for refund. However, we would be pleased to arrange an exchange for products of same or similar value. We will also happily provide full refunds on any unworn and unwashed, defected items within 10 days of receiving your package. All items must have original tags.  All sale items are final sale. 

In cases of exchanges for an item of lesser value, the difference will be returned in the form of a store credit for Local Woman. Kindly ensure your return shipment is carefully packaged to guarantee its safe return. Local Woman will not be responsible for any damage that occurs during return shipping, and we will not exchange or offer store credit on items that are returned in what we deem to be damaged or unsaleable condition. 

We highly encourage you to cross reference our size guide and measurements in our product descriptions before purchasing. We will not be able to refund for sizing issues, such as length. If you have further sizing questions, feel free to reach out to us at info@thelocalwoman.com. Please be careful when trying on clothes, any soiled garments will not be eligible for refunds.
